The Juror
John William Coffey II is the Deputy Director for Art and Curator of American and Modern Art at the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh. He has also been Adjunct Associate Professor of Art at UNC, Chapel Hill, since 2004. He received his BA in History and Art History from UNC, Chapel Hill, in 1976 and his MA in Art History from Williams College, Williamstown, MA, in 1978.
He has organized numerous exhibitions including "Color Myth and Music: Stanton Macdonald-Wright and Synchromism" and "Finding the Forgotten: Landscape Painting by John Beerman" and has written, published, and presented widely on American Art and Artists.
