Artist Spotlight: Kimberly Varnadoe

We are excited to announce the third in our new Artist Spotlight series, where we regularly feature a story or interview highlighting a local artist and member.

We are thrilled to introduce Kimberly Varnadoe. We learned a ton about her unique art journey, how her focus has changed over the years, what inspires and drives her, and maybe a little something you didn't know about this talented lady!

Bill Edwards Grant Updates

A wonderful gift to our members, we are overjoyed to assist two local artists via the first quarter of the Bill Edwards Grant. The two selected Associated Artists members, Laurie Basham (top, pastels) and Michelle Schenker (below, mixed media), receive funding to take courses to grow their skills and enhance our art community. Please join us in congratulating Laurie and Michelle and wish them well in their respective skill building workshops!

Now it's your turn! A new quarter is now open for entrants, so don't forget to submit your application. This unique opportunity is only open to Associated Artists Members. Every application will be considered in the context of how it can enhance your art and the community's art scene at large.

Trade On Trade: Swap Tiny Art With Other Local Artists!

Our monthly Artist Meetup will be all about swaps this month! Join us on March 17th at Broad Branch Distillery in downtown Winston-Salem from 1-4pm and bring a few ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) to swap. This is a great way to start your mini art collection of local artists and get to know them as well.

There are no rules with ATCS except they must be 2.5" x 3.5" with your name and date on the back. Any medium goes! So, get creative and we will see you on St. Patrick's Day!

Call For Art: "Truly Ours, From Within"
