Associated Artists National Juried Exhibit "Dimensions" Presented by Kilpatrick Townsend celebrates its 50th Anniversary in June, 1/31/2014
Associated Artists of Winston-Salem is delighted to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our National Juried Exhibit, Dimensions presented by Kilpatrick Townsend, in June. The first Dimensions exhibition was held in 1964, so this year's competition will serve as a testament to the success not only of the show, but the organization itself.
Recently securing Jean W. McLaughlin, the Director of the Penland School of Crafts, as the juror for "Dimensions, A 50th Anniversary", we have a solid and experienced professional to judge and select the entries that will ultimately be on display in this landmark exhibit. Dimensions routinely attracts artists from around the United States and Puerto Rico. In the 50 years of the show, selections have been displayed from all 50 states and beyond. Awards are Best in Show $1000, 2nd Place $500, 3rd Place $250 and Honorable Mentions $50.
Adding greater excitement this year, the 50th Anniversary exhibit will be held in the Womble Carlyle Gallery in the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts located at 251 North Spruce Street in downtown Winston-Salem, the City of Arts and Innovation. "Dimensions, A 50th Anniversary" will open with a free reception on Friday, June 6 from 5-7pm and be on view through July 7.
