Using paint, I record and interpret impressions of a moment or place rather than making a literal representation. During the painting process I explore color relationships, patterns, lines and compositional elements searching for what seems "right" to me. Roaming within what becomes a very personal space, my "vision" evolves to it's completion. The source of my inspiration is the natural as well as the man made world around me. I paint for the joy of the process of creation.
